This article ports the results of an extended collaborative action research project in which teachers attempted to create the conditions for such dialogue by adopting an inquiry approach to the curriculum.
Dialogue can be thought of as a particular type of talk that enables learning through the exchange of ideas. A conversation between a teacher and a student is a series of classroom answers between a teacher and a student. The questions and answers are meant to help the student learn more about the teacher and the teacher learn more about the student.
